From pit-village terraces to Pennine stone cottages
Barnsley's housing is as varied as its hills. There are rows of brick terraces in the former mining villages like Grimethorpe, Cudworth and Wombwell, post-war semis around Athersley and Kendray, stone-built cottages up towards Penistone and Silkstone, and newer estates on the edge of town.

Our fitters do the rest
On fitting day our own team lays the grippers, underlay and carpet and finishes the doorways with plates.

Common questions
Where is your Barnsley carpet showroom?
On your doorstep — we don't have a shop. Our showroom travels to you with the carpet samples, which saves us high street rent and keeps our prices down. You choose in the room the carpet is going in.
Is there a charge for coming out to measure?
No. The home visit, the measuring and your written quote are free, and you're under no obligation to go ahead.
What carpet lasts longest on stairs?
A dense loop or a tight twist pile copes best with the constant scuffing on stair nosings. Wool blends and polypropylene both wear well, and a firm underlay underneath stops the edge of each tread wearing through early.
Can I keep my old underlay?
We'd rarely recommend it. Underlay flattens and crumbles over the years, and a new carpet laid on tired underlay feels thin and wears faster. New 8mm, 9mm or 11mm underlay comes free with our Silver, Gold and Platinum deals.
Which payment methods do you take for a Barnsley job?
We take all major credit and debit cards, and cash. We don't offer finance — we concentrate on keeping the price itself low.
My floorboards are uneven. Is that a problem?
Not for us. We can ply-board or screed a floor so it's flat before the carpet goes down. We'll check the floors on the home visit and put any prep work in your quote.
